About Badook
Grading exams is one of the most expensive uses of a teacher's time, and one of the least visible. Evening after evening on the same question, again and again, to make sure every student got the same standard. Badook isn't here to make that decision for the teacher — it's here to do the repetitive part, so the time left goes to students rather than paperwork.
Consistency is a promise, not a feature
The rubric is built once from the exam, and applied in exactly the same way to every notebook in the class. The first student and the last get the same rigor — not because the teacher is less tired in the morning, but because the standard is set in advance.
A grade is a suggestion, not a verdict
Every question has a written reason explaining how the score was reached — not just how many points, but why. The teacher can review any question, change any grade, and see exactly what led to the decision. The last word always belongs to the teacher.
Notebooks are students' information, not data to mine
Scanned notebooks are often information about minors. Grading uses AI tools from outside providers, for grading only — the content is never used to train models, at any stage. The full details are in the privacy policy.
Priced per notebook, not per exam
Pricing follows the number of notebooks actually graded, not the number of exams run. A score and a reason for every question are always included — they aren't a paid upgrade, and never will be.
