Accessibility statement
We want every teacher, and every student who gets a result link from them, to be able to use Badook. We are working to bring the site in line with Israeli Standard 5568 and WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
What we've done
- The whole site in Hebrew (right to left) or English (left to right), with the right direction for math and code inside the text too.
- Full keyboard navigation between notebooks and questions on the grading screen, with a list of shortcuts that opens with the ? key.
- Buttons and fields are labelled for screen readers, and saving and grade changes are announced to them.
- Anyone who asked their operating system for reduced motion gets the site's animations stopped.
- Text can be enlarged in the browser without breaking the page, and the layout fits a phone.
What isn't accessible yet
- The marked notebooks' PDF files are scans of handwriting, and aren't accessible to a screen reader. Each question's score and comments also appear as text on the grading screen and in the student's link.
- Some charts in the dashboard and the class analysis are shown as an image only, without an alternative table.
Ran into a problem that isn't listed here? We'd like to know, and we'll fix it.
